Richard Thompson Ainsworth is an attorney with over 30 years academic, government, and private sector tax experience. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Boston University Law Graduate Tax Program, and the New York University Law Graduate Tax Program. He was formerly the Director of the Boston University Graduate Tax Program, Deputy Director of the International Tax Program at Harvard Law School, Senior Litigation attorney with IRS Chief Counsel, and Legal Issues Officer with the New Hampshire Department of Revenue. He has held tax-technology positions of Director of International Tax (Government Affairs) with Taxware and ADP. He teaches courses in VAT, Comparative Income Tax, US Transfer Pricing, and Comparative International Transfer Pricing. He developed an expertise in transaction taxes (VAT and Retail Sales Taxes) at Harvard Law School under Professor Oliver Oldman, where he was also an Adjunct Professor of Public Policy (Harvard Law and Kennedy School of Government). He has developed an expertise in tax and technology at Taxware and ADP. He has written extensively on tax and technology with well over 100 articles in various national and international journals.

Sunder Gee is a CPA, CMA, CIDA who retired from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Prior to his retirement, he held the position of Electronic Commerce Audit Advisor for the Head Office. In that position, he provided consultation on electronic commerce issues and computer-assisted audit techniques, both within the Agency as well as to other tax authorities worldwide.

Sunder has developed extensive training material on a wide variety of topics for the CRA, CaseWare IDEA Inc., and local colleges.

He currently consults for tax lawyers and tax accountants predominantly in the area of electronic data.

He has given numerous presentations and webinars in the area of data analytics including those on electronic suppression of sales such as:

  • “Point of Sale Systems: Benefits, Issues and Dangers to Users and Revenue Authorities” at the CISTI'2017 - 12th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies, Lisbon, Portugal

  • “Detecting Electronic Suppression of Sales: A Data Analytics Approach” at the 2013 Federation of Tax Administrator Technology Conference, Atlanta, Georgia.

Sunder is the author of "Fraud and Fraud Detection: A Data Analytics Approach" which outlines various types of fraud, including Zapper fraud and explains step by step detection using the IDEA data analytics software.

Andrew is the designated technology expert on the team. In a previous professional life, Andrew developed websites and worked in information technology. Now he is a tax and technology attorney in Pennsylvania and New Jersey specializing at the intersection of tax and technology. He spends his off hours transforming his historic home in Medford, New Jersey in to a passable office space.

Previously, Andrew worked as a corporate and public finance attorney in New Jersey and owned and operated a small technology consulting business.

Andrew resides in a Philadelphia suburb where he relishes spending time with his wife and daughter, enjoys playing with his four dogs, and reluctantly tolerates the presence of a one cat.
